Formation day of COMMECT!

As mentioned yesterday, I went to Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM for short) this morning to register my new company. For those who don't know where SSM is, it is located at the 2nd floor of The Mall at KL.

The entire process is quite plain simple. All you need to get prepared & bring along is some money (minimum RM70 for 1 year registration), at least 3 desired company names (one as the main & another two as backup in case the 1st one is not available), a pen (preferably in black color) & one photocopy IC (front & back, anyway no worries as there are shops around there which can provide photocopy service) together with IC for later inspection. My advice is simple: Go early & best is do it yourself. You might noticed there are many people gathered there trying to offer assistance on the application but hey, since it's so simple & only takes about 1 1/2 hour, do it yourself.

1st step when you arrived is get the application form and fill in all required fields which has * indication. It's ok if you're lost as there are inquiry counter which can assist. You will only get the waiting number once you've proven to completed the form. Wait for your turn & make the necessary payment (minimum 1 year, however currently they have offer where you can pay less for 3 year on a roll). Wait again for about 30-40 mins (for normal crowd), meanwhile you can go & ask at counter 1 to see whether your certificate is ready or not as there are times they're too busy & no time to call you for collection. If it is ready, just show them your receipt of payment & you get the cert.

That's all you need to do if you are going to apply for sole ownership company, for those who planned to run a biz with more than 1 owner ( max 3 person, if exceed you need to apply for Sdn. Bhd. at another floor which has diff procedure), best if all owners be present during the application (bring along the IC).

OK, now I need to move to another phase where I need to work on new name card & official website. Well, busy days ahead.......
